Go ahead and throw your hands in the air like you just don’t care!
Our mind and our movements are connected. So if you jump for joy – you’ll feel more joyful. Our emotions are based on signals from the body – and upward and outward movements can lift our mood.
So throw your hands up like your favorite team just scored a goal!
You just might feel a whole lot better afterward….
This is one of those stories that will just make you smile.
Jhazmhon Williams Lee was headed to a Walmart.
She saw the woman in this picture holding a sign and asking for food and clothes for her family.
She gave her $10 and left.
But she wanted to do more.
Here’s what Jhazmhon posted about what happened next:
As I parked, I felt a warm feeling and something told me I could do more for that lady.
So I went back and I asked her questions like where she was from, why was she here, and where are her children.
She began to look scared and started giving me false information.
She thought I was going to call child services.
She said that from the color of her skin, people don’t want to help her.
I told her regardless of the color of your skin I love you anyway and all I want to do is help you.
She took me to her kids and where she lived and I’m not going to go in detail but I was so sad.
I told her I don’t have a lot of money but the money that I do have I would like to help her with it.
So I took her and her daughter to Walmart and told her to get everything she needed!
She was in tears and so excited.
My bday is tomorrow and I planned on going out of town this weekend, but instead of doing that I know I received more enjoyment helping this sweet lady and her family with the money I saved instead.
I encourage everyone to lend a helping hand.
It doesn’t have to be financially.
It could just be you walking up to others and encouraging them that there are better days (ahead).
You will be amazed how much that means to people.
I was very excited and my heart was filled with joy and with her permission I posted this.
Never be ashamed to ask for help.

It’s always amazing to me what happens when you listen to your heart.
Jhazmhon easily could have said:
“Hey I gave her $10.
I did my part.”
But instead she listened to her heart and look at the result.
Thanks to Gina Gina for telling me about this story.
Brought my copy of “The Art of Being Unmistakable” with me to Pittsburgh. So glad. Here’s a sample from page 68
People want to learn how to do something not because of the joy it might bring to their lives, but because of the external accolades: traffic, book deals, and more clients. We all have things we could be learning and maybe if we did we could become the most interesting person in the world. (However, do not do it for that label). When I start most of my projects, it is because of the sense of fulfillment they bring me.
I agree – We all have things that we could be learning…. learn for then joy, not the label. We must find and fuel our passion or risk spiritual death. I see it every day in people who are just existing and going through the motions of life without actually living. Their eyes are dull, their imaginations in neutral. Heck, they even have their own television series. The Walking Dead.
Don’t walk with them…walk with the living, walk with the learning.
And, Learn with Joy!
“What a person accomplishes in a day depends upon the way in which they approaches their given tasks. When we accept tough jobs as a challenge to our ability and wade into them with joy and enthusiasm, miracles can happen. When we do our work with a dynamic conquering spirit, we get things done.” -Arland Gilbert
Get it done… with enthusiasm. Wade into it! (kind of makes me wish my name was Wade)
“Don’t move the way fear makes you move. Move the way love makes you move. Move the way joy makes you move.”
5 – Refresh your stress level –
When life gets busy, take time for yourself. Go for a walk during lunch or listen to some relaxing music while you shower or bathe. A couple of small changes can make a big difference.
4 – Have more Fun(ds) –
For every $10 you earn, put $1 in a “fun for you” fund. Each month, spend it on something just for you. This will keep you motivated to work hard and enjoy life!
