We have some not-so-breaking news for you, friend: there’s only ONE of you—and its okay to take a break for mind, body, and soul nourishing every now and again.
Actually, not even now and again, but frequently. Intentionally and without judgement.
Because here’s the big misnomer about self-care: it’s NEVER selfish.
How can you pour into your relationships without loving yourself first?
How can you expect your body to operate at full capacity without ever giving it space to heal and rest?
How can you be there for others—and their needs—when you don’t take time to just BE for yourself?
That “just being” in the stillness… with zero obligations and time for just you… is where the magic happens. Rejuvenation at its finest.
It feels GOOD to take a break from the buzzing energy of the GO GO GO—and in those moments, when we pour into ourselves, we are filling our own cups to continue being the parent, partner, sibling, child, and friend we want to be to others. (Mindfulness.com)
