Human beings grow best with encouragement and love. Today, let every word your speak (to yourself or to others) be filled with kindness. ~ Cheryl Richardson
How to Wait Less

‘How much of human life is lost in waiting?’ ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Post written by Leo Babauta.
So much of our lives are spent waiting.
We wait in lines, we wait for the perfect person, we can’t wait for our dreams to come true, we look forward to the day when we have a better body and a better life, we look for ways to make our goals become reality someday soon.
We wait. That good life is coming, and we’ll be there soon.
What if we stopped waiting, stopped trying to make dreams and goals come true, stopped wishing and anticipating? What if that good life is already here, and the only way to live it is to stop looking forward and notice what we already have?
If you are waiting for good things to happen — or are actively trying to make something good come true — take a pause. Look at where you are right now, in life and physically in this moment. Where are you? Is it already great? If so, why are you looking towards the future, when you’re already there?
And if we don’t think where we are is already great, perhaps we’re not paying close enough attention.
Three Things to Do Today
How do you stop waiting for good things to come? Three things you can do right now, today:
- Slow down. Rushing means you miss what’s right here.
- Pay attention. Look at what’s around you right now. Look at yourself, and how great you are. If it doesn’t seem great, look closer.
- Applaud.
‘We never live; we are always in the expectation of living.’ ~Voltaire
Train blog 10/3/12
Train Blog- I get on the train and this girl is smiling at me so im thinking she is just a happy person like myself and wanted to smile at everyone she sees. Uh yeaaaa no! She asked me if I wanted to go to a Chippendale party. (crickets chirping in my head) Where in the Halitosis did that question come from?!?! Did she see my Stripper Pole licenses displayed somewhere? Uh, no thank you. So nice of you to select me out of a crowd of people on the train.

Train Blog – ok for all those that know me, know that I am specially touched. Hehehe So as I am approaching the train to get on, my Mr. Brown mentality kicks in. I see a guy with tats on his knuckles, white shirt, black Dickies, boots, oh they’re crocs and a green canvas bag that folds into the size of a folded newspaper. What do I think? He’s a shooter and getting on my train. Oh lawd!! Plz dont get on the last train, plz!!! He gets on the last train. Oh the hooaarr! And to make it worst, he sits across from me. (I’m fainting and sliding out my seat) I wanted to take a picture but I want to live, momma I want to live! Lol lol lol whew! He is off the train and my pressure has gone down. Hehehe I’m sure it was just a bag for his art class but my mind goes wild. Lol lol lol

Don’t Chase the Snake!! (post by Kirk Weisler)
It’s really unpleasant to have someone do you wrong. But it can become even more unpleasant if you obsess with it. You can easily become like the foolish man who died chasing down the snake who bit him rather than immediately seeking the help that might have saved his life. The very act of going after the snake accelerated the poisons work in his body.
While I still intend to do all I can help get my sons FB page back from this unscrupulous hacker…. I know I need to do it without malice. ( Tough to do….being a father, and having grown up with Stallone, Schwarzenegger, and Mary Poppins. (Yes even she always get her man
As we talked about yesterday my wife (as usual) rolled out this wise statement… “It’s better to have someone do you wrong than it is to do wrong.” She went on to point out how fortunate it was that someone had done this to our son, rather to have our son doing this to someone else. I know she is right but…
So with peace, love and the pursuit of justice in my heart… I will continue to do what I can to make things right…get the help we can…but without chasing the snake. Chase justice…not the snake. Chase forgiveness…. not the snake. Chase perspective, gratitude, excellence and wisdom…but never the snake.
Make it a great day
