Bring Something More than a Teaspoon – Expect MORE (post from Kirk Weisler)

“The world is full of abundance and opportunity, but far too many people come to the fountain of life with a sieve instead of a tank car, a teaspoon instead of a steam shovel. They expect little and as a result they get little.” ~ Sweetland – Author of “I Will”

This is so true in so many ways. As a person who works primarily in adult education I see this almost daily. People come to training bringing nothing more than a good attitude and a smile. Now we can all appreciate a good attitude and a smile but with nothing to write with and apparently no intention or desire to capture insights… it’s little more than a happy teaspoon.

So the next time you go to training take a steam shovel or a bigger spoon… and vastly increased expectations for what you will learn and desire to take away.  That’s just my example… what is yours?

In what areas of your life do you need to show up with a bigger spoon?
