This is Twon Shavers.
And that’s his daughter with him.
Isn’t she precious.

Unfortunately she no longer has a daddy.
Last night Twon was shot and killed.
I have no idea why.
This morning I went by 84th and Bancroft in East Oakland where he died..
There were several people out front.
Twon died right next to where the man in the red sweatshirt is standing.
The blood was still there on the pavement.
They told me about Twon.
They told me about his great smile.
And about his #Pray4Oakland campaign.
They said he was ALWAYS with his daughter.
That she was his life.
One person also said:
“No matter what.
No matter how bad things were
He always made you feel good.”
Twon was hanging out with friends about 9:30 last night when someone drove up and opened fire.
Twon was killed.
Two others were injured.
Twon worked at the Home Depot.
His new car was still parked right next to where he died.
He was so proud of his car.
But to really understand who Twon was, you need to read some of the things he posted on his Facebook Page.
https://www.facebook.com/twon.shavers
They are even more profound given that he was murdered last night.
In one post he said:
“Besides walking down a street and having to worry about accidentally getting shot or wanting to sleep good at night.
This lil girl of mine is the reason why I want to make a change in my community.
A lot talk about it, the question is who’s really in motion putting in work?
Let’s make a change my people.”
And here’s another post:
Oakland really isn’t a bad place.
To be honest, it would be way more peaceful then it is right now if these parents would teach/take better care of their kid/kids.
I see more kids hanging out smoking/drinking/popping pills etc then ever.
Y’all allow your kids to roam the streets wee hours of the night and want to applause your sons or think its fly when you find out he walks around with a gun on the daily.
Man y’all don’t understand that he is in a position to end someone else’s son or daughter life.
And it won’t hurt you until someone else takes away yours or he ends up getting life without parole.
Adult to another adult.
Wake up, watch your kid/kids daily activities.
Make sure they not hanging around the wrong group of ppl.
Stop glorifying the devil’s work.
Teach one reach one.
Step up and set an example.
Let the #truth be told.

I hope the person who killed Twon reads this.
I hope he sees that he killed a good man.
I hope that he see that a beautiful little girl will now have to grow up without her daddy.
As Twon always said:
#Pray4Oakland
(If you want to hit “like” I will assume that it’s your way of paying your respects for Twon)
