I have thought a lot about Elizabeth Edwards these past 24 hours-the terrible emotional pain she had to endure. But what I was really thinking about is, not only is diet and exercise important to our health, but so is our emotional and mental health. You can exercise til you drop and eat right all day long but if you are plagued with stress and worry and drama, it can wreck serious havoc on your body.
Leave toxic people alone – just get them OUT of your life. Really take seriously your associations at work, school, play and home. Just because they are related to you does NOT mean you have to embrace their
drama. Take care of yourselves.

I will try to remember those words next time you are down on your luck and need a friend. I will think .. “I don’t need this kind of stress in MY life, and I will “leave you alone” and I will just say that I NEED to “get you OUT of my life”.
For I must take care of Myself… Everything in this world is about me and the extension of My life. It is not about love, or honor, or family, or freinds, or community, or country. It is ALL about My happiness and the extension of MY life… Fuzy bear on that!!!
Elizabeth Edwards died at her North Carolina home surrounded by her three children, siblings, friends and her estranged husband, John.
Sorry for the rant…. I just don’t completely agree…. I reach out to people who seem toxic when I have the means to do so.. Because people are not toxic. What they have may be contagious but with proper protection you can sometimes help them and at the same time stay well yourself…
Wow, thanks for your comment Michael. It’s important to take care of yourself but also don’t let negative influences affect your life. Some people get sucked into other people misery and then they become miserable. Just saying!
